Pneumatic &
hydraulic control |
|
This
system is the proven way to drill with hydraulic power while eliminating
the problems and expenses of mechanical rotary drives. The system is smooth,
quiet, and speed is controllable from zero to maximum RPM. Rigging up fast
and safe only requires connecting three hoses, and like a power swivel,
a major operating advantage is torque control. The driller easily sets maximum
torque at any level desired, after which he begins drilling at whatever
torque is required. If torque reaches the preset maximum, the rotary simply
stops to prevent a twist off.
Our systems have been tested and proven under the most difficult conditions,
including hanging up the bit while drilling |

Independent
Power Unit
|
|
These systems utilize a diesel driven power
unit independent from the rig. Available skid or trailer mounted, these
units offer several advantages over rig-driven systems. The system saves
wear and tear on rig engines and power trains and saves fuel with the smaller
engine size. Also, the flexible nature of the independent system means it
can be used with several rigs. We have even built such systems for use with
either a rotary table or a power swivel, with selectable torque gauges. |

Rig
Driven Systems
|
|
Typical systems are powered by hydrostatic
pump packages which can be custom installed on any rig. After many installations,
we can offer pump packages which allow easier field installations. Offering
the lowest cost, rig driven systems still require much design & labor
for a clean installation.
